: Patumma or Curcuma "Chiang Mai Pink", a strikingly beautiful ginger that superficially resembles a tulip.A native forest herb cultivated in Northern Thailand produces a beautiful dark,rose-pink inflorescence which makes a great cut flower.Its long narrow stiff leaves that resemble tulip leaves,grow to 2'(60 cm.) in medium to full sun.Foliage and inflorescence make outstanding display.The propagating part is rhizome or underground stem.Beside Patumma,there are many other species and varieties of Thai curcuma such as C.roscoena(orannge,pink) C.parviflora white giant,C.parviflora,C.thorelii,C'aurantiaca and C.roscoena |
