Thailand is a tropical country,situated in the Southeast Asia,and is one of the leading countries where food are produced to feed the world,especially horticultural production.
Major orticultural crops exported are rubber,orchid,longan,mango,mangosteen,durian and various kinds of vegetables.
Each year the export volume is approximately a million tons at a value of 900 million US dollars.
The Department of Agricultural Extension has published te Guidebook to Thai Horticultural Products with a view to publicize major horticultural crops and to distribute to the visitors of the EXPO'99 Kunming.
The contents of this publication consist of different information ranging from shape,taste,season,to nutritional value and storage.
It is expected that this pubilcation will help promote better insights into Thai horticultural products among importers,exporter and consumers in various countries.
